Michele Frankovich, Director

Formerly with Mayo Clinic and UT Southwestern Medical Center, Michele has 15 years of experience in research administration, healthcare finance, strategic planning, analytics and process improvement. Michele is a member of the Society of Clinical Research Associates, the Association of Healthcare Professionals and holds certifications in Change Management, DISC training, Design of Experiments, Managing Workforce Diversity and Crucial Conversations.

Diana Torres, Research Resource Analyst

Diana has worked in Clinical Research since 2014. She has 11 years of billing/Accounts Receivable experience in Primary Care and Oncology. She has further expanded her knowledge to Neurology, Cardiology, Pediatric Specialty and Pulmonary studies. She is responsible for the financials for the Office of Research and Education.

Bruce Lipp, Assistant Research Scientist

Bruce is an Assistant Research Scientist Programmer/Analyst with experience in software development, embedded systems, device drivers & system integration, industrial controls, and project management. He graduated with a B.S from the United States Military Academy and later earned a second B.S in Computer Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.

Toni Curreri, Clinical Research Coordinator

Toni has been in clinical research since October of 2012 primarily in neurology with an emphasis on headache trials and has also worked on MS and stroke trials. She has a passion for neurology research and is excited to broaden her horizon to other disciplines. Toni is currently working with cardiology and genetic research in the partnership with Renown, DRI and 23andme.

Gayathri Natarajan, Clinical Research Coordinator

Gayathri is a trained physician from India and has worked at UCSD in the physiology lab. While at UCSD she had the opportunity to work with NASA on a zero gravity project. She has four years of research training with Neurology and Cardiology Trials. She is looking forward to writing protocols to answer all the hundreds of questions unanswered in medicine while helping people.

Priscilla Nelson, Cardiovascular Research Nurse

Priscilla has been a Clinical Research Coordinator for two and a half years. She has worked with mental health, cardiology, and hypertension trials. Having a 30 year background in Nursing has enabled her to play a critical role in the carrying out the details of a study protocol. She continues to work towards becoming expert in her role as a coordinator by attending educational offerings, preparing study submissions, and engaging in study specific policies and procedures.

Bridget Neumann, Clinical Research Associate

Bridget has been a Clinical Research Associate for three years. She began as a CNA over twenty years ago and most recently with the Renown Institute for Heart and Vascular Health as a Cardiovascular Technician. Her talent was quickly noted and she was offered an opportunity into research where she has thrived.

Layla Tapia, Clinical Research Coordinator

Layla has been a Clinical Research Coordinator for three years with a focus is Neurology and an emphasis in strokes trials. She hopes to gain experience in other specialties within Renown. Her next goal is to become a research nurse as she enjoys direct patient care.
